Position: Sr. Designer-Money and Finance
Base Compensation: $60-$85K
Candidate's portfolio should include award-winning design work. Passion for and experience in information design---creative visual representation of data including graphs, charts, tables and interactions---are highly sought for this position. Candidates should have approximately 3-5 years of design experience and be fluent in standard interactive design software tools (Adobe CS, Flash, CSS). Technical Excellence: • Minimum 3 years of directly related experience including screen and interface design. • Expert level knowledge of design tools and applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, CSS/HTML is required; advanced level Flash is preferred. • Understands the importance of web site performance and is motivated to design for extreme optimization. • Solves complex design problems through research, analysis and a strong understanding of technology tools. Designs what can be built with relevant publishing systems. • Possesses sufficient knowledge to constructively challenge current practices or approaches. Creativity: • Grounded in design fundamentals including composition, color theory, typography, identity systems, concept development and motion design. • Designs and executes graphical interface treatments for on-line multimedia software products resulting in clean, tight, screen designs. Articulates multiple concepts and ideas quickly with good storyboarding skills. • Works closely with Art Director to create and design visual treatments that meet our client's and client specifications. • Provides creative leadership in the development of the look and feel of the assigned project and for the designers of the project team. • Understands information architecture, user interface essentials, interaction design, brand image management and style guide creation. • Uses knowledge associated with Bachelor's Degree in design or equivalent experience. • Must have an excellent portfolio of work and evidence of depth of knowledge in inter-active. Personal Performance: • Uses communication skills to influence decisions. Actively solicits feedback to ensure that all activities and deliverables meet expectations. • Must have ability to manage and stay on top of details for several projects or components. • Demonstrates attention to detail with work and process. • Is a great team player and possesses a solution-oriented attitude. • Demonstrates our client's vision, values, and principles. • Thrives in a highly collaborative, agile, fast-paced, exciting work environment.
